“WALK TO REMEMBER”

The annual “Walk to Remember” fundraiser permits Bereaved Families of Ontario-Durham Region to raise funds to provide support programs for grieving families, free of charge. Families will be gathering together to walk on Sunday, March 7th, 2010 through the Five Points Mall located in Oshawa from 9:15 to 11 a.m. to commemorate the memories of lost loved ones. Walkers will raise pledges prior to the event and top pledge earners will receive prizes. Entertainment will be provided by the Charles Street Band and Emily Yarascavitch, who will be entertaining the walkers with some old-time fiddling. Clowns will also be entertaining the children with face painting and balloon animals. In addition, families will be able put a photo of their loved ones on our banner and create a button to wear during the walk. This year BFO-Durham Region would like to raise $10,000 to cover programming costs.
